Fish & Wine is a small restaurant located in the heart of Herne Hill. It strives to serve delicious, freshly cooked food alongside handpicked wines in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Although fish and seafood feature prominently on the menu, meat lovers and vegetarians will not be disappointed. Expect to find dishes such as sea bass ceviche and Cornish squid ink risotto alongside classics such as steak and chips.
The lunch menu features a range of dishes fairly priced at £4-£9. Favourites include homemade soup and artisan bread, fishcakes and salads.
The à la carte menu aims to showcase the best of the kitchen's creativity and is available both at lunch and dinner. The head chef trained in classic French cuisine but his culinary influences are broad and reflect his many travels abroad.
The kitchen counts Europe and the Far East as major inspirations but there are no rules, as long as the food looks and tastes fantastic.
